Thanks to bret27 for this gorgeous 500ML bottle topped by pleasingly easy-to-remove red wax. Taken solo while watching a Nothing But Thieves concert on YouTube.
Looks like a stout: black with a well-tanned head & a surprisingly weak nose. Light sweetness with a touch of bourbon.
Cocoanaut – my first impression is “thick”. Not the stereotypical & lazy description of motor oil, which fits no beer ever, but more like warm maple syrup. Which you should never warm up, by the way. Huge chocolate hit up front, like I dropped a Hershey’s bar in this bitch an hour ago…I should try that…with a backing of heavy bourbon, vanilla sweetness, & a sharpness that might be oak, might be the cocoa. I am happy to be consuming this solo. Also happy I have a Coke in the fridge for tomorrow.
The body of this brew is the headline, but the adjuncts/additions & the barrel are spot on. Excellent beer that’s worth seeking out.

500 mL bottle. Thick, black, no head. Smells of chocolate, vanilla, and bourbon. Tastes of bitter chocolate, lots of bourbon, sweet vanilla. Heavy and thick and boozy. It's sweet, but the chocolate bitterness cuts it. Tasty but tough to drink.

Pretty solid. The adjuncts kind of clash. Big barrel presence is nice, though. Warming whiskey, chocolate fudge and a bit of sweet coconut to round things out. A bit muddled. May need some time to mesh. Medium full bodied. Lower carb.

Very dark appearance with slight tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is a very pleasant chocolate vanilla bourbon blend. Taste is also a very pleasant blend of chocolate vanilla and bourbon that is slightly sweet. They nice feel.
