Overnight Oats

had no clue this was so strong when i was drinking it, really hides its strength well, man a lot of beer in here is pretty strong, no wonder i left with my buzz fully on. mixed berries and a ton of oats, targeting the breakfast dish, not sure it can really get there being sour, but this part is restrained and balanced, and its not much more tart than the berries themselves can often be, i think this is clever and well executed. hazy pinkish color to it, pretty dense in the glass and not sporting much head, but the color is cool. im not sure i can really pick one berry out over another, definitely a mixed berry vibe, well integrated but to me a little nonspecific, not to its detriment. its jammy and juicy alike, some fresh fruit, some concentrated, some melted popsicle, but all real agreeable. to me the oats are more of a texture thing than a flavor thing, although i suppose if i look for it i can find a gentle cereal layer, even some mild spice to bring it out in the taste, but its more about the body, the protein, the weight, the density, which makes this silky and bigger feeling, somewhat of an offset to the modest acid. i dont know that it really approximates real overnight oats, but i think its delicious beer, neither too sweet nor too sour, the fruit seems real, and i like all the body. neat stuff, trendy but also cool this time.
