On tap at the brewery today. This is the 2023 version. Sorry, I'm not going to make a separate entry just because its a new vintage.
I was able to try the original version some years ago, and I think this is a bit of an improvement. It's definitely sweeter and more pastry stout like than the original, but also has a lot more ba character. The sweetness is a bit much IMO, but I often feel that way when it comes to ba pastry stouts. In any event, both on the nose and palate there's a lot more chocolate, vanilla and bourbon than the original offering.
Good beer, but probably not something I'd want to drink all that often.
