16oz can. Date stamp on top lip reads '08.07.23'.
Cloudy, bright strawberry red colored body. One finger of pinkish colored head recedes quickly to a bubble fed island and very thin ring. No lacing.
Aroma is fruity with pineapple, guava, apple, and apricot.
Taste is tart yet fruity sweet, with flavors of guava, pineapple, apple, apricot, and orange. Quick end in the aftertaste with a slight lingering of lactose.
Medium mouth feel. Perceptible mouth sting with each sip. Sweet tooth scrape. Okay carbonation.
Multiple fruit expressions but still rather one note. Refreshing and clean.

 

16oz can pours bright red with mild turbidity; can't see through the liquid, with a soft pink head. Big fruit punch aromas and flavors; apricot, orange, apple, pineapple, berries, lemon-y tartness, smooth and sweet with only a bit of puckering on the finish. Tasty and fun.

The pour to empty a pint can into a clear glass Imperial pint mug hit that wheat beer foam problem. But, it subsided quickly and eventually all fit. It's color is like a bolder Hawaiian Punch with a slight violet hue. There is additional coloring included, as mentioned on the label. The pink foam reduced itself to a dark pink skim on top. It smells just like a fruit punch, with apricot, orange, passionfruit and guava outstanding. The taste is sweet and only mildly tart. It is just like a fruit punch, so that mission accomplished. Most surprisingly, the body is satisfactory for a wheat based sour. Unfortunately, it doesn't taste as cleanly as it should, likely because of added flavors. Overall, it's a great adult version of Hawaiian Punch and little more. It's not bad, but it's not very good. There are far better fruited kettle sours out there, including several from this brewery.
