West Coast IPA is perfectly dank at the moment thanks to some great Simcoe we can’t get enough of. We used Simcoe several times in the boil and whirlpool before using it to dry hop with Amarillo and Citra. Brace yourself for a charge of resiny bitterness with classic aromas of peach, tangerine, and pine sap and note of lemon oil.

Droppin' it like it's hot, Great Notion teams up with Reuben's Brews for a more bitter, piney, west coast IPA. With these two breweries in charge, this IPA double's down on deliciousness without any threat of the dreaded double fault.

Drop Volley is more than just a yeti playing pickle ball, its a frothy pale chrome ale capped with a creamy bone white cap. As its partly fruity and partly resinous scent rises, there's a sense of citronella that emits from the citrusy, herbal and piney perfume. With a light coat of malt on the tongue, early impressions of honey, light toast and nuttiness give us a glimpse of granola to start.

But the session quickly gets back to hop dominance as the malt sweetness recedes and the fruity impression of pink grapefruit, orange and dried pineapple step into the spotlight of taste. Simple and pure in its fruit portrayal, the hops soon develop into an acutely bitter taste of pine resins, fresh cut grass and fruit peels for a decidedly hop dominant taste to close.

Medium bodied and finishing dry, the IPA is a clean, crisp and refreshing hop bomb that trails into a long and bitter aftertaste with remnants of fruit peels and herbal grasses.

Very good West Coast IPA!!!
Color is pale yellow/copper. White head with lacing. Nose is piney and slight citrus. Taste is again slight citrus, pine and lemon grass. Nice bitter on the backend.
