16oz can from Hops & Bottles. Pale golden pour, thick, rocky white head, lively carbonation, clumpy lacing. Bready, grainy aroma. Taste follows with more bready notes, mild sweetness and a light fruity finish. So damn tasty and perfect for a summer day.

a collaboration with pfriem, two heavy hitters on this one! cool packaging, very much the great notion not the pfriem look, so assuming it was made there, hence adding it here and not under the pfriem page. its a west coast pils, which i think is distinct from an india pale lager and should probably be a category here on BA. i liked this a lot, hoppy but not that bitter, citra and nectaron hops making it modern as heck, despite some really traditional pils elements, nice balance, delicate still and fiercely drinkable. love the old world character of the pils malt, fresh and snappy but also with that dusty earthy thing, crackery, a nice foundation for this in aroma and in flavor, its consistent. the yeast is so clean, its not european to me at all, cold and drying and really without a ton of flavor, neat in a beer where the hops are supposed to shine anyway, and it didnt seem out of balance or anything. the cleanness is awesome, good water chemistry, and not overly bitter for it being as hopped up as it is, distinct meyer lemon and stone fruit notes, some grassy character in play as well, not spicy but also not like, way off from noble either somehow, its well enough bittered and there is a softer side to it that i like a lot, modern more in dosing maybe than flavor, but both i guess. dont really care what we call this, i love it, hoppy pils, nice that its not just a neutral yellow grain base, it actually drinks like a pils still, which is why i think this needs a style here. love the layers, the refinement, and the carbonation. refreshing and great, hope they keep making it, as itll be a wonderful summer ripper! great collaboration!
