spendy little single pint can here, dope art, almost eight bucks, but way the heck better than i thought it would be, even for these guys who have such a sterling reputation, but its a cheesecake beer, which somehow has been a thing long enough now that it cannot be shrugged off as a quick fad, and this is leagues better than most, shockingly clean in a number of ways, and while it presents somewhat artificial to me on account of the flavor intensity specifically, its very well done for what it is, no doubt. gorgeous blueberry color here, deep pink to violet, looks like the right fruit colored this, some fizzy head too from a pretty tight can, stays bubbly. i love the glow this has, but even more impressive and surprising is the refinement, so many of these types of beers are gloopy and chunky, decidedly gross, unvarnished to a degree of looking awful, but even the bottom of the can is consistently pretty, so coagulated muck in here at all, so props for that, majorly unexpected. the nose and taste are the same, which is to say very pungent, very fruit forward, and also very cheesecake-like, which is less appalling to me now both conceptually and on the palate than it used to be when this was more novel. blueberry is jammy and bold, cooked down a bit but identifiable, maybe a little perfumy. there is fermenty tartness but also bacterial tang, light citrus to it, easy though, not super sour or anything. lactose and vanilla are a lot, definitely a dessert sour here, they linger past the rest of the drink so the end is sort of candied to me, but its hard to not be impressed, this tastes an awful lot like blueberry cheesecake in its real form, and that cannot be easy to achieve. if this kind of thing is your jam (no pun intended), definitely seek it out, as good a beer like this as there is out there in my experience, even with the high dosed flavor and the somewhat artificial vibe, it hits.

16oz can pour out rich red with highlights of purple and a tall pink head. Massive blueberry character, lots of fruity berry notes on both the nose and palate, to go along with that clear cheesecake flavor and creamy lactose/vanilla sweetness. Very accurate to the name.

16oz can at share. Mauve pour, sparse pink head. Aroma is cheesecake and berries. Taste continues with the entire cheesecake vibe. Sweet, cream cheese, milk and blueberries.
