these guys make a ton of hazy beers, impossible to try them all, archive them all and keep them straight, either in my mind or here on BA, just so many, but this one immediately stands out to me as a special one, and im shocked to learn citra and simcoe are two of the three hops along with sabro, it just seems so much more unique than that, millions of beers deploy those two, so that this hits as different as it does is curious, the sabro really working hard it seems, super impressive overall, among their best hoppy beers ive ever had really, an unexpected northern idaho find on tap, lucky me! a nice glow to this one, not one of the starch or milk bombs, paler yellow with consistent modest haze and a fluffy airy white inch of head that lasts the whole drink, rock lace all peaky and inviting, a shade brighter than others ive had recently. the nose does show some simcoe, woodsy and grapefruity, white grapefruit specifically in this to me, but i also get unexpected notes of passion fruit and fleshy white raw coconut, uniquely tropical without being sweet or cloying or even overly terpene or thiol forward to me, way cool, no gimmicks, no frills from what i can gather, not that thiolized yeasts are gimmicks, just that this seems a little more classic. white peach, elderflower, green grape, white currant, and some late bitter pithy lemon, although the overall bitterness is still quite low. the grain is on the lighter side as these go but still feels like more than barley, soft and plush and well grounded with a light powdered sugary thing in the middle enhancing the hops but drying out later. pineapple and more coconut as it warms, white lifesaver candy, more of the citra coming out late too i suppose, but this still seems unique for these varietals. great notion delivers again, this really top tier hazy, ill be on the prowl for more of this, loved it! i swear there is a red berry thing at the end too, need more!

16oz can pour with fair turbidity and yields a glowing orange body with a bright white cap of cream foam. Very tropical on the nose, the pineapple and mango and event some coconut there, sweet and earthy. The Sabro is listed last among the hop ingredients but it seems to shine the most flavor-wise with strong impressions of coconut, mint, and cedar, which all blend well with the tropical fruit flavors of melon and pineapple. Basically, its herbaceous tropical fruit, and I'm here for it.
