New label. Pours a clean clear golden color with a medium white head. Aroma is strong grapefruit, as is taste. Clean, crisp and hoppy like the early IPAs. Really enjoyed this beer.

Pale, light haze. Fresh citrusy aroma. Wave of grapefruit flavor gives way to more tropical stuff, and finally a piney Simcoe finish--steely dry but not bitter. Very flavorful for 6.3%.

this is outstanding ipa, on a number of levels, one of the best hoppy beers ive had from these cats in awhile, different can than what is pictured here, fork lift not a ski lift on mine, sort of a construction yellow color, but i believe its the same beer, these guys always have cool and rotating art. the can very prominently says west coast ipa, but mine has some light haze to it, not hazy per se, but not clear either, super pale though, sexy bright yellow color with a frosted look and a high white head pushing two inches and awesome carbonation continuously replenishing it, looks awesome, even if not as clear as the west coast style is generally expected to be. the nose is so fresh, love the way these varietals come together, lemon lime soda, lychee, meyer lemon, lemongrass, tropical but dry, jasmine and springy florals, cut grass, and some bitterness while also being objectively juicy, light pineapple and also some hop spice to me as it warms, dry and clean on the ferment, mild grain base also presents as very fresh, balanced and modern, almost session-like despite the abv, majorly aromatic and appealing, even when its frosty cold, yum! the flavor is so good too, comes in waves, big citrus up front, so bright, some light weedy dankness but also tropical fruit character in the middle, dry the whole way though, and then more of the bitterness expected from a west coast type at the end, but this is kind of the best of both worlds for me, dry hoppy and modern for sure, but then also with some snap, so quick in the finish in fact it almost presents as cold fermented, seriously its that flashy, aided of course by this high level carbonation, i just love the flavor and textural flow this hits with, its insanely drinkable, and i love the cascade in the hop mix, a little more nuanced i think than it sometimes gets credit for, and this shows that side of it well. majorly delicious beer overall here, no doubt i am catching it nice and fresh, but i was positively jazzed on this, and am thrilled to have three more cans waiting for me in the beer fridge. underrated here on BA for sure...

West coast from the hazy folks. Enjoyed fresh from the tap.
Low aroma, lots of piney bitterness. I wasn’t expecting such a throwback hoppy brew. Works for me.

Pours a clear very pale yellow with a small white head with good lace.
Aroma is grainy lightly grassy , subdued. can is dated but illegible hopefully its just older then I thought it was.
Flavor isn't all bad though biscuit malts, good citrus hop bite , hints of pine resin and dankness. leaves a lingering bitterness on your tongue as it should. Light and crisp favorable enough so maybe its not old the nose just is eh?
Mouthfeel is light and crisp the way it should be.
Overall like to find this one again with a readable date just to see if its me or the beer.

2-month-old can poured into a Belcher glass. Classic OG WC IPA goodness in a tight and light package with some unique qualities that make it standout in a category that's become somewhat pedestrian.
Crystal clear, very pale gold liquid. Tons of bubbles pouring up the sides of the glass. Beautiful two-finger head of tightly compact, bright white bubbles. Looks scoopable. Head retention is quite good and the lacing is excellent. Looks more like an APA than IPA in many respects. If the coloring was a little more amber it would be about as good looking as a 6% WC APA/IPA gets. As is it's still stellar.
Wonderful initial pop of white grapefruit, pine and cedar, tangerine, lemon/lime, and pleasant dankness. The dank notes are borderline weedy on some sips, which I love. Quite floral with some background tropical notes. The semi-sweet citrus notes, resiny aroma, and moderate dankness are beautifully balanced and quite potent for a 6% beer. Really excellent, though not overly bold. As the beer warms, the dankness and tropical fruit notes grow stronger, and I start to get some lovely berry notes (Mosaic?), as well. The weediness almost becomes too much for a beer of this type, and you start to get just a touch of the proverbial Simcoe "cat pee" note. But the fruity and floral notes keep it in line. Really a fantastic APA/light IPA nose overall.
Flavor profile is clean, quite dry, and much milder. Moderate-plus dankness and pithy bitterness, secondary citrus and (less so) tropical fruit notes that are quite reserved. A nice pine resin quality that is made more pronounced by the "chewiness" -- really a teeth-coating quality, not a statement about the viscosity of the beer. Extremely dry finish though the bitterness drops off to a pleasant, lasting pith. There is zero residual sweetness in this beer, so you've got to really love OG IPA bitterness.
Soft and fuller mouthfeel than I was expecting given the look and ABV. As mentioned above, the "stickiness" (without actually being sticky) on the teeth and tongue is fantastic and quite unique for a beer of this size. And it adds to the lasting bitterness and grapefruit pith. Not heavy at all. But substantive in a wonderful IPA way whereas the other characteristics come off as more APA in nature.
Maybe not a beer that everyone would like (especially younger beers drinkers) because it's bold in some non-modern ways and packs some unique punches. But it's right up my alley -- extremely well done for an old(er) school WC IPA. I could drink a lot of these in a single sitting and be very content.

Canned 5/19/25. Slightly hazy, like an unfiltered. Frothy head that sticks around for a while. Upon opening we get a fruity / floral aroma which rapidly fades away. Moderate bitterness with low breadth of flavor, so the finish is a bit boring and leaves behind a bit of an aftertaste. Just 6.3% ABV. Overall, there are far better IPAs around.

Expected more if it is claiming to be a West Coast IPA!
Drank more like a session.

Can date 4/16/25.
Look: Poured into a glass goblet. Really nice appearance; looks very clean and clear gold, good carbonation on the pour that settles a bit as the beer warms up.
Smell: Pretty standard one dimensional IPA aroma. Light to medium pine hops on the nose.
Taste: Light pine on the taste, hop forward bitterness, hides any malts that are in the flavor profile.
Feel: Medium to high carbonation on the mouthfeel.
Overall: Pretty middle of the road for a West Coast IPA. I probably wouldn't buy it again with the access we have to so many other good beers. I had higher expectations from the brewery's reputation.

Poured from a 16 ounce can dated 1-30-25 into a tulip glass.
Look- Medium gold, visible tiny particulate, moderately hazy, white frothy head, above average head retention, average lacing.
Smell- Pine, dank, grapefruit, medium strength of scent.
Taste- Pine, grapefruit, medium strength of flavor.
Feel- Between medium and full body, average carbonation, highly creamy, highly bitter.
Overall- Medium gold with plentiful tiny visible particulate and above average head retention. Bouquet was a simple mix of pine, dank and grapefruit. Flavor followed the nose, both with medium intensity. The body was between medium and full for the style. This beer has high bitterness and creaminess. The look and feel were very well done and above average, but the aroma and flavor were very much average. Overall this beer was a slightly above average WCIPA that provided a good drinking experience.

Very stylish forklift on the can. Golden yellow body, white head, lots of lacing. Looks like a classic WC IPA.
Aromas of pine, pink pepper, cara cara, tangerine, lemon, mango, pineapple, passion fruit and chamomile. Very fun.
Unfortunately it's pretty flat on the palate. All pine and pepper with very little fruity or bready character.
It's very dry. Refreshingly crisp. I like that.
Not a bad beer at all.

This is an excellent beer, albeit a little overpriced for what it is.
