Pours one shade shy of black with a tight, half inch, mocha-colored head. Nose expresses cocoa, roast and hints of lactose. Berries hit upfront in the flavor profile, followed by light roast and some dark malts; however, chocolate doesn't really come forward. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with an easy, even carbonation. It lacks the body of a 13% stout. Overall, pretty lackluster.
