No canning date (presumably canned ~12/27/19)
Pours a turbid deep golden orange body topped with multiple fingers of fluffy, soapy, off-white foam; excellent head retention fades slowly to chunky mountains of cap and an ample frothy collar, while a sporadic medium lacing is spattered around the glass.
Aroma features an intense interweaving of white grape, mango, musty basil, and dank mint, with some heavy citrus undertones and a raspberry peak toward the back end; a touch of creamy sweetness softens the bouquet nicely.
Taste profile is dank, musty, and expressive, highlighting mushy mango, heavily wilted spearmint, and touches of dirt to bookend a raw, earthy, but overarchingly and unexpectedly tropical sentiment; a creamy vanilla edge forms a finish closed with a rounded herbal citrus rind exhale.
Mouthfeel shows a medium body with moderate-high, fluffy carbonation leading into a pithy, almost sticky bitterness in the middle; silky smooth with a unique herbal grit across the palate, it finishes with a crisp, semi-dry finish.
A NEIPA that finds the line between aggression and balance excellently, offering notes both unique and consistently intriguing to the palate with every sip. There's alot going on in this one, but I found myself never tiring of exploring what it offers; to me, this speaks volumes to the interplay of flavor coursing through what is still an incredibly drinkable DIPA.
