16 oz. can. Hazy orange. Smells nice. Citrus and garlic. Tastes of citrus and garlic hops. Hefty malt. Chewy malts, oat, and a hefty dose of sweetness. No bitterness. Medium heavy. This is my second Long Live IPA of the night and my assessment is the same: excellent hop profile but just too sweet.

Picked up a single can at Cedarville Wine and Spirits in Plymouth, Massachusetts for about four dollars. My tenth brew reviewed from these guys. Just ok for me.

Copenhagen 14/9 2023. 44 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop. Steel can with a black label with a shield with th name of the beer.
Pours opaque, hazy, slightly dirty yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles uneven, lumpy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intensewith sweet, fruity and slightly boozy odor mingling with a more subdued citric scent. Mango and overripe peach. Alcohol and fermentation. Mild whiff of citrus and lime
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intensewith strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Fine bozy DIPA which haven't forgotten how to be bitter

From a 16oz can, dated 09/21/23. Served in a willi becher pub glass.
Pours an opaque, milky orange juice color, with a finger of lathery, cream-colored suds. Retention is very good, leaving a fat, pouffy cap and a gobby blanket of foamy lacing.
Nose is soft, mildly sweet and cake-like. Aroma of tropical fruits and vanilla cupcake.
Taste is in line with the aroma but with the dial cranked hard over to the right. Dense and dank with a doughy, cakey body. Tasting pineapple and lime, papaya and bhang water, mango and vanilla, orange peel and raw bread dough Mild pithy bitterness on the palate and fermented berry vapors in the sinuses to finish.
Feel is thick and juicy, hefty bodied with fine, prickly carbonation. Carbonation is gentle but it’s sufficient to keep things moving along.
Overall, it’s almost a characiture of a NEDIPA - thick, dank, doughy and juicy, loaded down with every kind of tropical fruit that high alpha acid hops can express, and feels bigger than its stated 8.5% abv. Nothing subtle here but could be that subtle is overrated. On the other hand, my palate and gullet feel like they’ve been the BA equivalent of dragged into a dark alley and had the crap beaten out of them. Whatever the fuck that means.

16oz. can served in a tulip. Pours a dull, milky orange with a tight, quarter inch, bright white head. A big burst of citrus in the nose, followed by a trace of pith towards the back. Taste consistent with nose with the addition of tropical fruit (perhaps mango) towards the middle. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with a mild acidity and a pleasant, even carbonation. Overall, quite tasty.
