Pours the color and clarity of orange juice with no head, just a thin, tight band around the shoulders. Nose reveals tart, citrus, funk and peach. Taste follows nose; however you get a big hit of peach pit in the middle that lingers through the finish. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with a pleasant acidity and a carbonation just shy of assertive. Overall, a really excellent BA saison. I don’t get much of the barrel; however, there is so much complexity here.

Now, this is an LLB release that I was excited to grab. A saison blend from 2 different wine barrels spanning 2 years, then with added peaches? Sign me the fuck up!! I’m not sure if I’ve had a fruited saison before, but I’m thinking that peaches are probably one of the best fruits for the job, if not apricot. Let’s dive in
Pours a murky yet vibrant gold with 2 fingers of white head that quickly fades to a thin ring and leaves minimal lacing
The funk in the nose is wonderfully balanced by fruity and mineral notes. I’m picking up on aromas of dried peach, orange juice, wet hay, bready malt, light sea salt, lemon rind, and a touch of toasty grain
It’s honestly pretty similar in taste, and that’s for the better in this case, the balance is superb. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting wet hay, light horse blanket, tart apricot, crackery malt, and light peach. The swallow brings notes of very tart peach, minerally white wine, wet hay, bready malt, and light leather
A light medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a tart and funky beer. Finishes mostly dry with with a light lingering sweetness
This is a delightful beer. Honestly it might be one of my favorite saisons given how tart it is. I hope they release this one again
