Canned on 8/31/23; consumed on 12/28/23
Pours a crystal-clear, deep golden body topped with multiple fingers of fluffy, off-white foam; good head retention leaves a half-finger of cap, large, sudsy collar, and myriad soapy lacing strewn around the walls of the glass.
Aromas highlight wheat cracker and a subtle, peppery florality upfront, developing tones of unleavened bread dough as a supportive touch of honey brings a sweetness over time.
Taste opens to a touch of wildflower honey and a deftly interwoven florality; cereal grains build to white toast over the mid-palate while tinges of lager yeast and minerality accent the finish.
Mouthfeel shows a light body and a carbonation on the fuller end of moderate, producing a fervently dry mid-palate accompanied by a soft snap and gentle, clean bittering lingering past the swallow.
A crisp approach, honeyed plush and delicately toasty; perhaps even too light at times, this take on a festbier undoubtedly succeeds in an ultra-quenching, more cautiously traditional role.

Canned 2023/08/21
Pours a frothy foamy almost 2 finger head with moderate retention, a bit of frothy lacing, clear pale to tan slight orange color
Nose brings cereal grain, grainy-sweet malt, a bit toasty and cracker notes, a touch doughy, on the lighter side but within style
Taste starts with more malt, light cracker, grainy-sweet notes, more doughy cereal and a hint toasty, fair herbal floral hop notes with med-lighter bitterness, soft lager with a soft mildly crisp finish, lingering med herbal hop bitterness
Mouth is med bod, soft lager, med small bubble carb
Overall pretty light in general, wish the malts really popped like a good Festbier, but that said it's well within style, I amend them for not going overboard or trying to deliver a big sweet caramel bomb or something similar as many American Festbiers become. Lagering was good as well.
