Had on tap at the brewery.
On arrival a fine off white one finger head was present that tries to lace. Body is a clear dark brownish amber.
Aroma is light but sweet and roasty with some nice English yeast fruit notes. Sweet toffee caramel comes through from the malts. Slight bittering hops are present on the nose.
Taste is smooth and a bit light but the nutty toffee comes through nicely before a nice and earthy bittering hop comes through nicely.
Feel is dry and lighter bodied than expected, but pleasant. Medium long finish, and despite the drier feel, the malts are pretty mouthcoating. Decent and almost refreshing which is nice for the style.
Overall this is a very nice sessionable English ale. It's clean but fruity with a crisp but long finish and it's super versatile.
