Deep blood red body with lighter cherry red edges, tight beige foam head. Aromas of those tart cherries powerfully leading the nose with lacto, hay, bright oak and sweet red currant behind. Taste is much the same, only add some apple and some dry earth to the finish to give it some bite. Feel is tart in an old world way, the brandy sweetness is an asset here along with the obvious contrasting wood barrel. New world but I really enjoyed it, great for an early summer picnic

500ml capped bottle into Referend stemware.
Beer pours a dark red. Crystal clear. 1 finger foamy white head collapses. Stringy and spotty lace. Nose is funky, lightly tart, seedy, hints of barnyard and hay. Mellow. Beer opens bright. Seedy. Purple grape skin and flesh. Slight tartness. Tannic towards the back. Touch of peppercorn on the finish. Body is light with moderate to ample carbonation. Soft on the palate. Goes down foamy, filmy. Clean finish.
Very mellow. Low acidity. Nice balance.
