This beer is all Citra hop aroma and flavor with very little bitterness. It's sure to please fans of the style, make some new converts, and continue to anger those who don't think hazy IPAs should be a "thing".

Not bad, but not worth having again either.

Pours an murky white-orange with a finger and a half of white foam. Aroma is orange, earthy, tangerine and herbal hops with bready, earthy malts and just a twinge of bready yeast. Flavor profile is orange, tangerine, herbal and earthy hops with lightly biting, but subtle earthy and bready malts. Earthiness resonates within the tropical fruit display. Mouth feel is a medium thickness with a very light siltiness and subtle softness. Overall, tropical fruit rind mingles with earthy malts with a doughy finish.
Served in a 15.5oz Spiegalau tulip from a 16oz can.

I have been all around the horn with this beer. When I first poured it, the look was ..... not very appealing. It had almost a grayish hue to the grapefruit-colored body, though the head was a pleasant, dense bone white color.
Then, as I took a couple of sips, the body looked relatively “normal” for a Citra-hopped NE-style IPA (per the can). It’s certainly hazy per the style, though not a milkshake. Still, I’m befuddled.
The nose has the dank citrus notes associated with the Citra hop, with grapefruit and orange peel most prominent, but the nose is ..... thin, with a subtle undertone (something vegetal, maybe?) that doesn’t fit.
I am now officially terrified.
Then the taste is a blaze of glory for a Citra-hopped beer. The grapefruit and orange peel flavors are on point, there’s also some pineapple, and the vegetal component is MIA. The mouthfeel is to style, and there’s a subtle bitterness that’s quite enjoyable.
I never thought I would type that when I first cracked this open. I have a couple more beers from these guys that I look forward to trying.

16 ounce can, no date seen. Poured into a tulip glass.
Pours a hazy but muted golden orange. Thick white head tops it off. Curtains of lacing on the glass.
Orange juice and canned pineapple juice are what I’m getting on the nose.
All the goodness that Citra brings. Overripe pineapple, stinky guava and tropical fruits. Lemon airheads. Harsh but not unpleasant bitterness. Some pepper notes at the finish. Crackery malts are present but just as a second thought.
Smooth and somewhat chewy mouthfeel leads to easy drinking. Something has changed based on earlier reviews.
I think this is great. I prefer the bitterness this beer has but it probably doesn’t fit within style guidelines. Either way, it’s delicious.

Pours a muddled orange-brown, despite being a pretty fresh can. After going through a 4-pack over the span of a month, it holds up pretty consistently over this short time. Good tangerine and mandarine notes, with a bit of pink grapefruit and a nice tang near the finish. A bit thinner and light in the body than expected from appearances, although more consistent with the 6% abv.
