Canned 10/01/19 (I really hope they put the month and day in the order I expect which is opposite of all the other beers from Canada so far)

Pours a light fizzy head with low retention and almost no lacing, mostly clear honey blond color

Nose fair hops, little piney and resiny, with spicy earthy aromas, a bit fruity, and a little cereal grain

Taste is more of the same, a little cereal grain and sweet malt, then a little hop with a touch of resin and pine, a little spicy floral grassy as well, a bit fruity as well, mild bitterness, drier finish with a bit more spicy bitterness and a little weird cooked vegetable lager note on the finish

Mouth is med bod, higher carb that gets a little distracting

Overall meh, like the other Lake Wilcox beers I had, it's OK but not great, hops get a little overpowering, strange vegetal finish with unhappy lager note, base beer was meh as well

473 ml can served cold into a Mill Street pint glass. Cost was around $2.90 CDN. Review from notes.

Appearance - Bright yellowy and hazy golden mixture. Very unfiltered look with a finger plus of long lasting froth.

Smell - Clean and grainy with mineral notes and lemon spiciness.

Taste - Quite bitter, needs a touch of sweetness. Spicy lemon and overbearing grassy bitterness dominate.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, fizzy easy to drink. No complaints.

Overall - A passable american lager that has just a touch too much bitterness to be comfortably easy to drink. Still a good effort with some Oomph.

Slightly hazed lemony yellow brew under just a short head. Quickly to a ring with minimal early lace. The merest whiff of grassy hops on the nose. Doesn't really do anything to encourage. Subdued flavour as well. Some bite from carbonation, grassy hops, a hint of malt. Lingering gentle bitterness, slightly dry. Better than a macro, but no real excitement here.

Look is golden in colour little to no head. Smell is bready. Taste is similar with slight bitterness. Mouthfeel is ok, smooth slightly carbonated. Overall a ho-hum Lager.
