This one pours almost gem clear and pale straw, with no visible carbonation. And yet, a fluffy white head rapidly rises to two and a half inches before quickly dissipating. All that is left is a ring and a fine layer of fog. Minimal spotty lace forms on the pilsner glass.
Crisp grain without obvious malt. Hops have a light spiciness and white pepper. There is a fresh, uncooked corn aroma as well.
The flavor opens mild and crisp with barley and light sweetness in balance with bitterness. The finish is light and lingering. White pepper starts light and grows with warmth.
This one has a refreshing, light body with coarse nylon texture. Fizzy carbonation adds to the thirst-quenching quality, as do the mineral notes.
This is a good table beer from a small brewer. The quality of their beers is totally unexpected, as I had never heard of them before. This would go well while playing pick-up baseball or after a round of golf. I am enjoying it with Sapterssata salami and horseradish mozzarella and reading a book. In the background, a harp plays. This is an all-around easy drinking and enjoyable beer.
