Thanks, Nick!
Was lucky enough to get this beer and a bunch of others from Nick on a recent work trip to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Untappd description was “Double Dry Hopped Double IPA with Citra and Idaho-7 hops brewed in collaboration with the Dumb Friends League.”
Poured a medium yellow hazy color with two fingers of frothy white head. Could see just a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class spiderweb foamy lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Really liked the smell right away. Got lemon, herbal, Idaho 7, tea, menthol, Citra, grapefruit, honey, sticky pine, resin and long-lasting floral notes late. Just as good from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted just as good as the nose. In order got Citra, Idaho 7, floral, herbal, lemon, tea, menthol, grapefruit, honey, sticky pine, resin, hints of black pepper and lingering spice. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long bitter finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was a really nice IPA. Initially was reviewing it as a West Coast IPA but I decided it was actually a New England IPA. (Overall - 4.25)

I still highly recommend this series for its support for local animal shelters. Taste-wise though, this IPA is lighter and more run-of-the-mill. Not a bad IPA at all.
