"Candy Bar Milk Stout" roasted with peanuts, cocoa nibs, Vanilla and milk.

A: Black, soft head. Filled with 1 finger settled to top of the glass.

S: Vanilla and Coffee together, tons of roasted peanut smell. Chocolate following but overall the peanuts took the lead.

T: Wow! Roasted peanuts came through with a nice chocolate finish. Hints of vanilla and coffee with a mild sweetness. No bitterness that some stouts have. Just incredible. Had one before and after Fate's Imperial IPA and when I had it after the IPA, it almost tasted like a snickers but no where near as sweet.

M: Really Smooth and easy drinking.

O: One of the best if not the best stout I have ever had. If they bottled this, I would have it day and night and give up everything else as long as I could have their Imperial IPA as well.

Serving type: Nitro Tap, first day they tapped the batch.

Brewery's Description:

"Also referred to as a cream stout, full-bodies with lactose and malt sweetness, balances nicely with a bit of roast."

I'm a fan of this one and they got it right. For a low alcohol mill stout I'm not sure I've had a better one. My critiques would be that it's slightly thin and lacks aroma... outside of that the flavor is spot on. Starts sweet and milky and finishes with a hint of roasted malt. Well done Fate, well done.
