Another Forager stout: it must be a good day. 750ML bottle split with my wife while watching Eliot Ness.
Black black with little to no head right outta the glass. The nostrils detect a load of coffee & stout leavened with vanilla. As advertised. Eh.
Buzzed doesn’t bring the coffee as hard as the name implies. Don’t come in here; vanilla has the upper hand now. Very light barrel, plenty of vanilla, deep, hard chocolate malts or just chocolate, & a hefty bite of alcohol. Thick, but less so than the standard-issue Forager stout. My wife could have taken the entire bottle, me not so much.
Very good beer but could have used more of that heavy Forager barrel.

On tap. Black color. Tan head.
Lighter bodied than the others. Definitely can tell it’s a milk stout, but still full bodied. Lots of coffee and lactose. Smooth. Faint roast. Espresso notes. Not a heavy barrel flavor.
