Thanks to Jeff for this one. 750ml capped bottle into a Founders snifter. Shared with schen9303.
Pours a slightly hazy goldenrod. Coarse white head, no retention, thin legs, spotty lace. Nose is zesty and funky. I get notes of hay, lemongrass, lemon zest, and peppercorn. Lightly tart. Aromatic. Beer opens funky. I get a nice earthiness. A mix of horseblanket, hay, and oak in the middle. Lemon zest and a balanced acidity towards the end. Peppercorn, a touch of cheesiness, and light stonefruit notes at the finish. Deliciously balanced. Body is light with ample carbonation. Prickly and foamy on the palate and goes down soft, quenching. Lightly lingering finish. Very drinkable.
Just about everything from Forager has been very impressive to date. I'm looking to explore more from this brewery!
