Cloudy pale orange/gold color with a modest white head that subsides to a ring fairly quickly.
The aroma is Granny Smith apples with just a hint of lemon and fresh bread.
The taste is also apples up front but followed by a definite tart lemon note like a blend of cider and lemonade, finish is tart lemon with a hint of grassy hops.
The body is light, smooth and very easy to drink.
Altogether this is a very light, refreshing brew, great for a warm fall day or whenever you just want some light refreshment.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a Nonic pint glass: Poured a light gold color with almost no head, and a good amount of carbonation. The aroma is sort of funky with notes of sour apple, and a slight malt aroma underneath. The taste is slight tart with notes of apple, lemon, and a malty/bready beer flavor on the back end. Overall light, easy drinking, and not to tarty. I was honestly expecting less from this offering of Radler by Boulevard, based off it's name, but am glad I enjoyed it.

12oz can purchased from the fridge for $2 as part of a mix-a-six pack. Canned on 1/11/2020, so this is over 8 months old. Not too concerned given what this is.
Look: Cloudy, hazy (almost dirty looking) pale orange color. Kind of looks like a mixture of apple cider and beer, which is probably what this basically is along with some lemon. Pretty, compact one-finger head upon the pour but dissipated to a thin layer.
Smell: Nice aroma of apple juice, granny smith apples, and some faint, grassy hops and crackery malt. Think green apple jolly ranchers. Very faint lemon zest. Smells refreshing and like what I want to drink when I am thirsty! That being said, the smell is nothing to write home about.
Taste: Delicious. Bit of tartness up front with lively carbonation, then some sugary sweetness on the sides of the palate with a very mild finish that has a touch of bitterness and dryness.
Feel: Light to medium mouthfeel; as this is a radler, there is a lot of residual sugar and some crisp acidity and bitterness within that gives it both the ability to coat your mouth and then quickly refresh your palate.
Overall: This is so crushable - a chugger. It's light and refreshing and I have no problem drinking a radler if it is as flavorful as this one. The 4.1%ABV is so not noticeable. I think that a lot of beer geeks will be turned off by this (and the style in general) because they'll say that it doesn't taste like beer. And they're basically right. But that doesn't make it an enjoyable beverage, and it is still mostly beer.

I am a little tired tonight following a full school day after the Labor Day break & so I am going with a lighter beer for The CANQuest (tm) before retiring.
From the CAN: "Tart * Apple * Zing"; "Since 1989"; "Citrus Beer Brewed with Apple and Lemon".
I Crack!ed open the vent & beCAN a slow, gentle C-Line Glug since I was tired & did not feel like dealing with any potential messes. It worked out well, quickly forming nearly two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, tawny head with surprisingly good retention. Color was a slightly hazy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose smelled of apples, but sweet apples, not tart. Hmm. Mouthfeel was thin to medium, not watery, but not far beyond it. The taste was tart apples, but not in the artificial Jolly Rancher chem lab vein. Instead, it tasted of real apples, which seems to be indicated by the labeling. Mmm. It was tart & dry, but I was not getting much in terms of lemons or lemonade, which is the basis of a Radler. Finish remained tart & dry. It was very refreshing, but apples were definitely the emphasis.

the flavoring of this might be just a little bit overdone for me to want to drink a bunch of this, and because of that its not nearly as refreshing as some of the other flavors they have done of this radler, but its a cool beer nevertheless, somewhat less gimmicky and forced than i thought it might be, a weird combination to say the least, but it works for what it is. i always thought radler was with soda, where shandy was with lemonade. i have not heard of apple soda before, so not sure what they blended in, just apples to the ferment, an already made hard cider, i dont really know. its hazy and thicker looking for its low abv, tangy green apple in nose and taste, and quite a bit of fruit derived sweetness, this would be a lot more drinkable over time if it were drier, but its not too sweet to be enjoyable for a glass or two. the apple is really forward, cidery and autumnal and natural enough, but it kind of trumps the beer part of this. if it werent for a little bit of wheat body here, this might not taste or feel like beer at all. still though, if you like this sort of thing, this will be agreeable, better than i thought it might be, i was skeptical of this for sure, but they did a nice job for what it is. works in the fall, especially for the cider drinkers.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden color with a small, pillowy white head of foam. It smelled of tart green apple and some caramel. Nice tart flavor. Really tastes like a cider.
