Cracked my 4th can from the 4 pack i bought months ago shortly after it was released, was really excited to try this since i’ve Oliphant unconventional and odd offerings in the past. Plus i liked how they decided to use currants, a berry not many brewers use to my knowledge. Hoping some time would help a bit with this beer, the first three tries were a let down, just didnt have much substance or really any appealing qualities to it.
the appearance is a nice crimson amber color, this quickly dissapating head.
Aroma is slighty fruity, the currants give this faintly tart aroma.
Taste. Same, after months it hasnt transformed really at all, very dry and tart and unfortuantely pretty bland. The currants are apparent but thats about it, no malts, no yeasty flavors or really anything, the mosaic hops were never really there in my opinion although they are probably adding slight flavor to this.
Feel. Way too over carbonated and sharp on the palate, which is spot on for a belgian but just not floating my boat, over carbonated is ok when there is some flavor to back it up...this is just lacking all around.

This beer is a collaboration with Oliphant Brewing in Somerset, Wisconsin. Brewing Projekt canned the beer.

This beer pours a nice darker shade of red. Somewhat murky, but you can see light through it. Head was white with a hint of red in it. 2 finger, and dissipated fairly fast.
The nose is very fruity. The can also says mosaic hops, but the red currants really dominate.
The taste is hoppy up front, then the currants kick in. Nice balance between the hops and the currants.
Feel is somewhat watery, but it's got a nice feel going down with the combo of the hops and currants.
Overall a delicious beer. I hope that these 2 breweries work together again, and I'm glad I made the stop in Wisconsin to pick it up.
