On tap at Three Stacks & a Rock in Morro Bay, CA.
Pretty, old school looking DIPA. Gold to copper in hue. Slight off white head with decent retention and minuscule lacing.
Nose hints at light citrus zest, maybe a creamy pineapple note, and a tinge that f pine over crackery malt.
Flavor follows well. The aforementioned notes and an addition of some lightly sweet bread dough meets rye.
Finishes with a smooth, slightly dry, earthy bitterness but still allows for a bit of sweet too.

Bomber (undated, but just showed up in a store about 2 miles from the brewery, so presumed fresh). Served in an IPA glass at fridge temp.

Look: darker than expected—call it SRM 11—with a sudsy eggshell head.

Smell: mild citrus, alcohol, floral. Muted.

Taste: initial flavor is reminiscent of citra, with confectioners sugar and tropical fruit. Gives way to earthy notes, caramel, rye-like spice.

Feel: medium bodied, juicy. Maybe a little too syrupy or under-carbonated. Just drinks a bit heavy for the abv/style. Not bad, and probably the best element of the beer.

Overall: the flavor shows a lot of promise, and was already on the verge of 4.25; if they could dial it in, this could be a very good beer.

Chill hazed amber colored beer with a small white colored head.

Smells strongly of both malt and hops. Scent of pineapple and caramel candy. Scents of citrus and pine board. Pepper and a very faint mint scent.

Starts out mild with a toffee after taste. Stays super mild, candied grapefruit rind and some caramel. Could be more complex but it is tasty.

Overall a tasty and user friendly DIPA.
