A: Pours an opaque, orange creamsicle color. Off white head that settled down to a thin layer across the top of the beer. No visible carbonation. A lot of lacing on the glass.
S: A sweet, tropical fruit juice aroma, but not in your face. The hops are present, but not jumping out of the glass.
T: I am really enjoying the flavor of this beer. Citra forward tropical fruit like mango. The simcoe comes through strongly and to me is quite catty, while also creating some bitterness and piney notes. I’m also getting some lemony notes. I’d say that if you dislike Simcoe, you probably will not like this beer. I’m also getting some very sweet orange flavor. This beer is almost, just almost, too sweet for me. If it wasn’t for the Simcoe characteristics I might find this beer to sweet.
M: This beer defines creamyness for me. Some carbonation, but a pretty velvety body.
O: Overall I like this beer a lot. It’s hits all the aspects of the NE style IPA. A more prominent nose would be appreciated, and the beer would fall flat without the Simcoe because it would be too sweet.
