Gakozing is a delicious new IPA brewed with Albanese Gummies, & hopped with Citra & Mosaic! We added over 50 lbs (about the weight of a 5th grader) of these dudes to the boil & then rolled the dice. And oh did it work out! This beer has huge notes of fresh strawberry up front with a refreshing sweet/tart combo, finishing with that all too familiar gummy bear taste. You've serioiusly gotta try this!

16oz can, no date

Pink, barely any head, looks like a fruit beer. Smells delicious, like citra hops and gummie worms, a combo that works better than it should. I can't wait for hop infused gummie worms, the logical next step. As for the beer, it kinda goes flat and tastes like wet cardboard after a little while, but those first few sips are pure sour gummie worm infused IPA. It's weird but it works

I mostly shared this single can and don't know how much I'd actually drink it if it were always around. But it is extremely unique, it is done with impeccable skill, and it all leads to an undeniably great beer. I'm cursed with the worst kind of sweet tooth and love sour gummie worms AND citra beer = this is so very great in the moment; nothing else matters

No canning date (released on 1/24/21, so presumably canned within a few days of that date); consumed on 2/15/21

Pours a totally opaque, dark burnt pink hue capped with multiple fingers of dense, fluffy, off-white foam; good head retention leaves a slight layer of near-creamy cap, a thick, frothy collar, and a fair amount of short-lived, soapy, webby/spotty lacing spread around the walls of the glass.

Aroma opens with prickly, musty guava meeting rounded, waxy white grape towards the middle, where strawberry gummy bears burst forth and dominate the bouquet from here on out; underlying catty notes accompany wet moss settles deep into the backdrop.

Taste shows readily apparent orange and tangerine zest accented with fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice as slightly catty tones develop past the mid-palate; fruit punch meets grassy lemon peel into the back end while strawberry gummy bears and even some touches of sour gummy worms fade with the finish.

Mouthfeel presents a medium-light body and harmonious balance of tangy/tart and juicy textures as a moderate carbonation sprites over the mid-palate before drying with flaky malts on the back end and aingering twang past the finish.

What Aslin was trying for was easily discernible, the execution itself was spotty, indecisive, and lacked commitment to neither its NEIPA base nor zany adjunct; a creative, gimmick IPA (fairly enjoyable, too) in form, though the result hardly lives up to its more eclectic billing, delivering more of a candy fruit tart with hazy IPA leanings.

Pours a hazy strawberry pink color with a thin white head. Gummi bears you say? Yes this IPAis in fused with Gummi Bears, It’s all fruit infused somewhat tart ,it some how works as a fruited beer. It’s all gummi but not over the top, worth a try and will never but again.
