12oz can
L: slightly hazed yellow-golden body; tall & frothy white head
S: grass, floral lemon & orange, pine, wheat
T: fruity and floral grapefruit, lemon, and orange; light caramel malt, and a bit of wheat perhaps
F: lighter body, moderate carbonation, balanced finish with modest bitterness
O: I like that this is called a pale ale and not the more trendy and overused “session IPA”. This was good and very refreshing

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Smells of grassy hops with just a hint of citrus. Tastes of grassy and slight citrus hops. Beer is light bodied and very easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Bought a 4 pack of pint cans during my periodic beer run to Woodman's Kenosha.
Nothing not to like here. Refreshing, sessionable. An interesting idea to merge two PA styles. But, Take 'er Easy really doesn't achieve the best of both... which would be ideal. (NEIPAs to me are about the fruit and West Coast APAs are about the bitter/sweet contrast/conflict.) Both happen in this Raised Grain ale, but it is not a game-winner.
Maybe Raised Grain makes the merger better next time.
I went on their website and want to compliment the brewery. Founded by two Drs., they have elevated the education level of the typical micro. Young (under 4 years), Raised Grain has a sophisticated website and a clever community outreach technique of doing pop-ups in Waukesha County parks during the summer. Hope that helps !

Finger plus of off-white foam, on the airy side with average retention, wispy lacing. Soft haze to the base gold color, filled with a storm of tiny bubbles, no clear beads. Taut nose, piercing grassiness with supporting pepperiness, lemongrass, quinine accents, maybe some white grapefruit pith but not much fruit at all, apricot pit or green apple at best, not offputting but by the same token not all that expressive. Medium-bodied, focused carbonation, dry texture. Here the pear, peach, melon fruit rises to the top without getting showy. Cereal grains, dried honey, tarry earth, just lacks the real hoppy bite to switch from APA to IPA but it’s a close call. The more you sip the more it finds balance between dryness and sweetness. Still, enough bitterness that it wouldn’t be your first choice for a sessionable beer. (Canned 7/15/19)

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on April 27, 2019. Kick back and relax with this easy-drinking pale ale. This midwest delight, a cross between a Northeast and a West-Coast style, is brewed with Amarillo, Citra and Mosaic hops. Enjoy every little moment and live life with a smile.
