Amour de Soi (Ah-Moor Di Swah) is a 6.3% ABV ale made with a French Saison yeast. The grain bill features honey malt (one of our favorites), Caravienne for a toasty toffee-like contribution, and Biscuit malt for.. well, biscuit flavors. Hoppy for the style, it features a mix of English and American hops, including Centennial. Amour de Soi ("Self Love") is an idea put forth by Philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau. Acts of Amour de Soi are done for the sake of individual well-being, but not in self-interest at the expense of others. "The sentiment does not compare oneself with others, but is concerned solely with oneself as an absolute and valuable existence." The opposite idea is Amour-Propre. Drink it down, Enlighten up.
