Nice lemony dry hopped Saison.
A little hay and orange marmalade, along with some malt, with the lemony hop finish. Crisp tongue tingling carbonation.
A refreshing Saison.

I just reviewed Legendes Blonde and criticised it for being too hoppy. I am glad that the same is not true of Saison Voisin. But, it is close. I'd prefer fewer hops in a table saison, but Voisin worked well enough with Camembert and bread, a lowest common denominator for a table ale.
Voisin Looks average; it really should keep its foam active for longer than the pour. Smells also are average with some fruit, but nothing to write about. Tastes are not balanced enough; but since the hop varietals vary base on availability, the balance could have been worse. Light for a style that is supposed to cut through the butter fat.
I do give Legendes good Overall Hugs for their keeping traditions and terroir alive.... and innovating them. Just use fewer hops.

On tap at Teresa’s Next Door in Wayne, PA.
This one pours a slightly dark and clear orange color, with a small white foamy head, and lots of lacing.
This smells lightly spiced, with citrus, and grassiness.
This isn’t bad by any means, but it’s a little bit boring. None of the flavors particularly pop out. It’s called out specifically as being a bit hoppy, but I don’t really see that, as there’s not that much bitterness here. There’s clove, slight grassiness, and a touch of citrus, but they’d don’t really meld well together.
This is light bodied, but full enough for the style, and pretty drinkable.
I enjoyed trying this one, but it didn’t really stand out all that much.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe (£2.19):
Light copper & translucent with a 1cm, foamy head that's thick & white with great retention too. The nose is surprisingly fruity & sweet with apples, citrus & sweet malts then a little plum to finish. The taste is a lot more subdued with a little sourness & tart, some blackcurrant flavours & noticeably less sweetness here; there's some citrus, apples & herbal touches at the end too but it's a very poor tasting beer. It's medium bodied & funky with less carbonation showing than usual for a saison. Definitely one that started well but turned out to be a poor one in the end.

Notable tang with hints of green apple, grapefruit and lemon. The feel is a bit thin, but leans more on the cracker and spice complexion for texture. Lots of carbonation, combined with tang is a bit harsh, especially since this saison body can't stand up to it.

poured with a huge white head over an orange tan body. Loved the lengthy grassy notes and cleanness on the palate.
Less hop than anticipated, but not a bad thing
If there is such a thing as a session Saison, this it!
