Dark burnt orange, nearing amber, and almost fully opaque, with a moderate off-white foam head that quickly dies to a collar of bubbles.
Lightly dank and herbal, sort of minty actually, via a medium-light but fluffy body that finishes semi-dry with a little shortbread aftertaste.

The one I tried was 8.5% ABV, and that extra alcohol really the difference between good and great.

Pours a hazy and slightly rusty golden yellow with a thin quarter finger of white foam.
Grapefruit, lemon, and orangey citrus fruit dominates the nose with a subtle toasted malt sweetness apparent as well.
Citrus fruit comes out strong in flavor as well, but seems muted in comparison.
Light-bodied, low carbonation, slick, oily, and thin.
Overall, this beer is rather one dimensional and lackluster.

Bottled 2/27/17. I day old! I have had 3 different beers from this brewery and all have been excellent. I really like the
full liter bombers instead of the usual 750ml. This IPA was very well balanced with good citrus notes. Hazy appearance. Very nice nose. Smell the freshness! A great example of the Simcoe Hop. Anything from this brewery is well worth trying. They are small and hopefully will grow and be more available.
