Pours deep, rich black with a head of foam like mousse that leaves beautiful lacing behind. Aroma is rich salt, milk chocolate and caramel with some roasted nuttiness thrown in. Taste is smooth, creamy, salted caramel, deep, rich chocolate, faint vanilla and nutmeg. This is mine, all mine. I'm not sharing.

A: Black with minor head and lacing.
N: Big caramel notes with some vanilla, malt, and roasted tones.
T: Follows the nose, very sweet caramel and vanilla flavors with a minor roasted feel, light malt and salty taste.
M: Medium feel and very sweet.
O: A really nice desert beer, if your looking for a really sweet candy bar style beer this is it.

1 February 2020 - Beer #17
Price: $11.99 on Tavour
Appearance: 4 - mostly black with a slightly dark brown head, definitely reddish at the edges.
Nose: 5 - exactly as it should be. Dark, roasty stout with a perfect amount of caramel.
Taste: 4 - definitely good, but not excellent. Not as stout-y as I'd like. Not well-balanced with the caramel. Tasty, but not special.
Mouth: 4 - coating but a bit thin. Hanging around especially at the gumline, which I imagine is what they were after.
Overall: 4 - more stout, please. A fine brew, nonetheless.
Cheers!

Picked up at Julio's and shared with JLindros.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark brown almost black with a thin mocha head that fades to leave light wisps and decent legs.
S - Big aromas of sticky sweet caramel, dulce de leche, thick dark chocolate with flashes of salt and vanilla. Little bit of roast, sweet but never cloy.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with slightly chalky chocolate, decent roast and dark malts. The caramel sweetness is pleasant but much more muted than the nose. Fair amount of roast on the finish too. Alcohol hidden very nicely.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, creamy, alcohol hidden well.
O - Overall this was a solid stout, excellent sweeter caramel and stout notes. Very enjoyable.

Pours a dark foamy head with medium lower retention, basically pitch black with decent legs
Nose is awesome, I can smell it from a few feet away, dark and milk chocolate, big juicy salted caramel, little biscuit wafer cookie, fair amount of raw vanilla and creamy lactose
Taste more fudgey chocolate, and dark chocolate, some caramel but not a ton, fair sweetness, some creamy lactose and vanilla ice cream, light baking spice cookie dough from dark malts, mild bitterness and roast. Sticky semi sweet finish, lingering mild caramel, thick fudge, and hint of salt
Mouth is thicker bod, fudgey like, med to lighter carb, very light alcohol
Overall pretty good, would have liked a touch more salt, more fudgey chocolate on the nose, and caramel on the taste, but overall pretty good and alcohol hidden well

Drank from a 1 pint can purchased at Fort Point Market, Boston, MA
2019-2
Served in a snifter
Viscous, absolute pitch black appearance. Shimmery and oily looking in the glass. The body was topped by a finely beaded tan cap that quickly dropped to a thick collar. A few dots of lacing stuck along the glass.
The aroma was insane and totally lived up to the beer’s namesake. Sweet caramel notes dominated. Loads of high quality vanilla extract as well. Big chocolate fudge presence too. A caramel macchiato came to mind. Malty and rich. Just a touch roasty.
The flavor profile was nearly as amazing. Super malty and robust. Nice melding of caramel and roasted malts. Lots of actual caramel too. Vanilla and sweet cream notes also came through strong. Big dark chocolate presence in the center. Brown sugar was noticeable as well. More caramel and sweetness on the back end and the finish. Hint of lingering roastiness.
Outstanding rich, thick, creamy mouthfeel. Completely full bodied for the style. The liquid contained a fine, moderate effervescence that turned uber frothy and slick on the palate.
Lavishly sweet and decadent, Salted Caramel Imperial Stout is truly dessert in a can. While this beer reminds me a lot of a limited release Tree House or Trillium pastry stout, I luckily found this can sitting on a shelf at my local bottle shop.

16 oz. can poured into Trillium Six States glass and allowed to warm.
L: No head to speak of, no retention, just a thin light brown ring. Beer is very dark brown or black.
S: Caramel, caramel cookies (!), roasted malts, cocoa. I don't really get any brininess, but that's OK.
T: Big notes of caramel and cocoa with roasted malts. I really didn't catch much in the way of saltiness. Fairly sweet. ABV very, very well hidden.
F: Full-bodied, little to no carbonation. Construction is complex and right on the mark and it is well-balanced and drinks as well as something of this ABV can. Slightly warming, but no real alcohol heat.
O: Almost a Trillium-class dessert stout, really very good.
