Rather than being aged in bourbon barrels, this is actually fermented in them. Some cider makers use this technique, and plenty of fruited sours have secondary fermentation in barrels, but I haven't come across it in a stout before--maybe a novelty, I'm not sure. It doesn't bear out in the flavor profile, which gives me the impression of being Hubbard's Caves base thiccboi stout. Very light legs on an oily pour, with heavy malted sweetness. Marshmallow or nougat, subtle cherry and peach notes, chicory. Mouth-coating.
