If you’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying a slice of the real-deal Baden-Württemberg torte, if you closed your eyes you’d think you’re drinking a slice. Upon first sip, you’re treated to the sweet tang of sour cherries and ride the flavor wave down to the dark chocolate depths. How did we achieve such perfection? By brewing with cocoa nibs, vanilla beans and two types of cherries.

Look: Poured a deep mahogany brown with brown head that quickly melted to a wisp of a ring around the glass. The lace is there but don't look for much foamy fingers running down the sides.
Smell and Taste: Smell of chocolate covered cherries. Taste as sweet as chocolate covered cherries and vanilla.
Feel: The tartness of the cherries give this brew an astringent quality. 9.5%ABV is a plus in my book.
Overall: I'm guessing this is a One-off because I can't seem to find it on the Hubbard's Cave website. This Stout's sweetness is somewhat overpowering for me. I will finish this one off and move on to something else.
