The annual Over-the-Line (OTL) tournament is as San Diego as the beach on which it's played. Every summer since 1954, it takes over Fiesta Island. Started by the Old Mission Beach Athletic Club (OMBAC), their mission to enrich amateur sports and youth athletics. It's about time OTL had is own beer. Over the Line Lager was brewed for that reason. Oh, and because sometimes we all need a second chance.

Bought a 6 pack. Decent football beer, but I was hoping for a little more. Would like to try on draft sometime.

Saw this after sampling some tasters at Bottlecraft Little Italy for its seventh anniversary. Had heard of it recently, but this was the first time I saw it in stories. Generally a big fan of Second Chance and I always like my lagers. Can description read, “The annual Over-the-Line (OTL) tournament is as San Diego as the beach on which it’s played. Poured a golden clear color with two fingers of off-white frothy head. Lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass at a fast pace. Decent watery lacing. Decent retention. (Sight - 3.75)
Smelled big pilsner malt like characters from the beginning. Also corn cereal, Noble hops, sweet grain and honey. From the can added a more raw element with what seemed to be wheat, barley, grain and corn. Not much else, but this was appealing. (Smell - 3.75)
Taste followed the nose for the most part. Got pilsner malt, corn cereal, Noble hops, sweet grain, honey, grass, wheat, raw barley and hay. (Taste - 4.00)
Light body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, clean finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Really liked this one. May have even underrated it a little bit. (Overall - 4.00)
