Orange, peach, and nectarine aromatics immediately hit the nose on this hazy IPA. With an initial sip, this juice-bomb tastes of citrus and stone fruit. When paired with the medium sweet, soft texture, and full-body, so prototypical of its style, it is reminiscent of your favorite fruit nectar beverage. Yet, this beer still finishes with a subtle bitterness for balance, leaving the palate with want for more.

Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England IPA
Glass: Pure Project 14-oz. snifter elemental (fire) glass
Price: $3.99
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Oct. 31, 2021
Consumed: Dec. 9, 2021
Misc.: No canned on date; Best by Feb. 15, 2002
Went over to Windmill Farms to pick up a 4-pack and came back with a bunch of other stuff as well. Untappd description was “Orange, peach, and nectarine aromatics immediately hit the nose on this Hazy IPA. With an initial sip, this juice-bomb tastes of citrus and stone fruit. Poured a hazy medium golden-to-light amber color with 3-to-4 fingers of rocky white head. Could see lots of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass at different speeds. Perfect layered foamy lacing. World-class foamy lacing. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled Mosaic and Amarillo right away. Also orange citrus, tangerine, peach, nectarine, stone fruit, herbal, floral, mango and papaya. Wasn’t getting much Citra. Was better out of the can. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted about as good as the nose. In order got Mosaic, Amarillo, orange citrus, tangerine, peach, nectarine, stone fruit, papaya, mango, floral, herbal and some spice. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long finish. (Feel - 4.00)
Not always the biggest Second Chance IPA fan but this was solid. Glad I picked up a can. (Overall - 4.00)

Can marked “best by 4/13/3025. Murky tan/orange in a modified perfect pint glass with etched carbonation initiation grid. Two finger dense creamy head and lots of lacing. This appearance beats last year’s version that had minimal head. Smell and taste are somewhat grapefruit with some other (stone)fruity overtones. Heavy-ish body but pretty clean finish. Low carbonation. I like it and the brewery’s expressed support for local dog rescues.

Look: Poured from a pint can into a glass - hazy orange color along with a couple fingers length of foam risen. Not much lacing going on here as it quickly dissolves.
Smell: Definitely smells like an IPA. Aromas of orange, fruit, citrus, floral.
Taste: Tastes like all the above but plus 10. This is rich sweet, citrusy, floral. Heavy tastes of oranges. Can't even taste the alcohol at all. Very nice.
Feel: Heavy bodied beer - definitely rich. Not to carbonated.
Overall: This was very good! I don't usually get IPA'S but this was really great.
