Glass: Pure Project 3rd anniversary 14-oz. Teku glass
Price: $3.99
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: July 15, 2022
Consumed: Aug. 13, 2022
Misc.: No canned on date; Best by Sept. 28, 2022

Went to grab a 6-pack and a few cans at Windmill Farms and came home with 29 beers, spending way too much money. Second Chance’s website called this beer “We can't beleaf it either, but plants make everything better.” Also had the taste described as “Amarillo, cryo Idaho 7, and strata impart bold stone fruit, berry, and grapefruit hop flavors.”

Poured a light amber clear color with two fingers of frothy off-white head. Could see a few sidewinding bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. Good spotty-to-foggy lacing. Average retention. (Sight - 3.75)

Smelled Amarillo, tangerine, orange rind, Strata, dank weed, pine, grapefruit rind, mixed berry, Idaho 7, herbal, stone fruit, tropical bubblegum and earthy malt. A little better out of the can. (Smell - 3.75)

Taste was just below the smell. In order got Amarillo, tangerine, orange rind, caramel, Strata, dank weed, pine, bitter grapefruit rind, black pepper, mixed berry, Idaho 7, herbal, stone fruit, tropical bubblegum, mango and hints of mint. (Taste - 3.75)

Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. Best part of the beer for sure. (Feel - 4.25)

Very good overall. Glad I picked up a can. (Taste - 3.75)

Clear medium amber with coarse foam in the chalice. Highly aromatic with lemon peel, melon and pine. Plus a nose of grapefruit. Taste is really fruity but on the West Coast side for sure. No juicy nonsense. It's a very intriguing and likable flavor of honeydew melon, peach, and a dose of piney resins for the finish. Not overly bitter.

Quite a mouthful of flavor and better than most of the overhopped wonders that have crossed my tongue lately. Well, this too is overhopped but at least it's drinkable. From the 16 oz can purchased at Bine & Vine. Stamp on the bottom: "Grown on April 13, 2023."

18 days since canning and now into a tall tulip glass. very clear dark yellow. very short lived loose white head. coarse bubble carbonation rising from the bottom. No lacing. Nondescript smell mostly of grapefruit rind and some faint berry + grass/pine. Same flavor. No discernible tropical fruit despite the label description. Hoppy bitterness is fairly strong. Light body with fairly clean finish. Too much citrus rind bitterness for me.
