Had on tap at the brewery.
On arrival a finger of white head was present that slowly recedes to a decent covering that clings to the glass, but loses some body each sip. Body is a very hazy light red-to-orange amber.
Aroma is big and yeasty. A bit of sulfur is present but not necessarily unpleasant. Definite nearly tart funk that reminds me of fermenting, tart, blackberries. Smells like a dialed back, but slightly funky Belgian which I appreciate.
The flavor is very nice, with the yeasty fruit ester influence before a classic malt backbone with some light caramel sweetness amd nuttiness comes through. Super refreshing. A nice lightly malty, very balanced amber almost belgian style beer.
Feel is very smooth, but dry and refreshing. Super easy to drink, with the only hint of alcohol being a faint and pleasant warming in the chest as you drink. This is dangerous and feels like a legit belgian blonde even though this is an amber saison.
Overall, this was very impressive. Super easy to drink and flavorful while maintaining a refreshing mouthfeel. And all at the same time deliver a 7.5% ABV punch.
