On tap at Crooked Hammock Brewery, Lewes, DE.
Pours a mostly clear yellow straw color with a slight cloudiness. A modest head quickly dissipates.
The aroma opens with notes of dry cracker malt and a light honey sweetness. The fruity aromas include orchard fruit including pear and peach, along with a touch of citrus. Spicy aromas develop and evoke coriander.
Light to medium bodied with a dry palate and crisp mouthfeel. The carbonation is moderately lively. The dry cracker malt base is supported by lightly peppery spices, coriander and a moderate floral and earthy hops bitterness. Fruity flavors include light touches of pear, apple and peach, as well as a modest lemony tartness. As the drink warms, bready malt flavors develop and slightly increase the sweetness. The finish is dry with some lingering hops bitterness.
This was a pleasant and refreshing drink for a hot summer day. It also stayed true to the style.
