Bottle poured into an Alaskan Brewing Pilot Series pint glass
A: Pours golden amber with a faint pinkish hue and a frothy off white head that settles to a thin layer and leaves a little spotty lacing.
S: Slightly tart, cranberry and a little raspberry, the slightest hint of spruce, a touch of wheat, and some caramel sweetness.
T: Slightly tart but not very, fruity, cranberry and also some raspberry, just a bit earthy, faint hints of spruce, a little wheat twang, and a fair bit of caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: Really could stand to be more tart to balance all that sweetness. They could probably dial the cranberry and especially the spruce tips up a notch to make that happen.

This brew pours a gold-amber color with a slim white head. The aroma tells you immediately that Thai is a fruit beer. I get cranberry right away...followed by a little tart apricot note. The taste is dryish with some light tartness in the foretaste. Medium body. Not bad, but not great.

Best by February 4th 2019.
It pours a mostly clear solid gold with a finger of foam. Nice lacing.
I get spruce and cranberry in the smell but they don't stand out. Tart in the name but a struggle to find it in the smell.
Cranberry weak. Spruce weak. Tartness weak. Earthy with some wheat character. Pretty bland.
Mouthfeel is good. That and the look are the best of what this beer offers.

"Cranberries are paired with the same Sitka spruce tips we use in our award-winning Winter Ale, with Pilsen and German acidulated malts, plus malted white wheat and Nugget hops" $1.69 for a 12 oz bottle at Meijer.
Original Gravity: 1.050, ABV: 5.8%, 15 IBUs, 8 SRM
Pours out to a very light amber with slight pink tint, forming a modest white head with good retention and lacing. Moderate carbonation, about 2.5 carbs or so. Lightly hazy. The nose smells of wheat, light raspberry extract, no hop nose, not picking up spruce tips at all. Zilch. Nada. Zero. Slightly fruity ale fermentation. The mouthfeel is moderately tart, finishing moderately dry. Watery, thin seltzer body. Very watery. Taste is a recap of the nose. Wheat, raspberry extract, no hop flavor, minimal to no bitterness, watery finish, no spruce tip flavor at all. No cranberry flavor to speak of. And I should know because I just ate a bunch of them for thanksgiving.
This beer does nothing for me. It might be crushable for some on a hot summer day, but is quite insipid with little character and nothing that I would ever want to drink again. Not recommended.

Pours a hazy gold color. 1/2 inch head of a white color. Great retention and decent lacing. Smells of cranberry, sweet malt, and a hint of vanilla. Fits the style of a Fruit and Field Beer. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of cranberry, sweet malt, spruce, hint of vanilla, and a hint of floral hops. Overall, good appearance, body, but blend is dominated by cranberry.

Deep reddish or rose gold in color with very good clarity and an off white head. Slightly sweet on the nose with a prominent cranberry aroma against a woodsy, ever-so-slightly resinous backdrop. Not particularly complex. Spritzy, light-bodied, semi-dry, and truly more tart than sour, Alaskan has brewed an approachable beer that's flavorful enough to encourage a repeat visit, and not at all heavy handed with the eponymous fruit. It could use a bit more spruce, however. And while it's quenching, this wheat ale finishes somewhat flat. A nice seasonal with some room for a little improvement.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 11/23/2018. Pours slightly hazy golden/amber, light pink/orange color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lightly tart/tangy cranberries, fruit skin, spruce, lemon, pear, red apple, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of pale/wheat malts, fruity yeast, cranberries, spruce, and mild earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lightly tart/tangy cranberries, fruit skin, spruce, lemon, pear, red apple, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Mild herbal/grassy/spicy bitterness and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy cranberries, fruit skin, spruce, lemon, pear, red apple, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of pale/wheat malts, fruity yeast, cranberries, spruce, and mild earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and tart/tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and lightly sticky/tangy/acidic mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 5.8%. Overall this is a nice fruit wheat. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of pale/wheat malts, fruity yeast, cranberries, spruce, and mild earthy hop flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp/clean to drink with the mildly bitter/tart/drying finish. Would have preferred more fruit/spruce, but they had solid presence. Nicely balanced pale/wheat malts and fruity American wheat yeast; some cranberry/spruce; and mild earthy hops against sweetness. A nicely enjoyable offering, and well made style example.
