Having had this at BFNA, I needed to revisit this.
Light amber with a dense, white head with good retention and lacing. The nose is pretty super funky with deep lactic acid, yogurt, earth, preserved lemon, a rich, rotting wood note. The funk is Boon- like. The palate opens tart, lactic and mildly sour with lactic acid, snappy and deep with preserved lemon, rich, deep wood but with minimal vanillin. The funk is really awesome. Rich and deep, mildly oily, wonderful texture. Bitter lemon peel, mild earth and mushroom. Drying, mildly tannic with a mild residual sweetness. The beauty lies in the balance and execution, this is a beer best savored rather than sampled.

Thanks to thebeers for this treat.
Sent to me as a local I have not tried in his "support local breweries" at the beginning of COVID shutdowns.
Beautiful, clear golden in hue. Wispy white fluff rises and settles.
Nose is brilliantly subtle and complex. Citrus, pear, dry oak, and light Brett (good thing for me).
Flavor follows the nose elegantly. Firm but not overpowering Brett. Oak tinged and dry citrus notes also carry bright lemon and apple notes.
Mouthfeel is bright, active, and enticing.
Overall, for a lukewarm fan of Guezes, this is an example that opens my minds to the nuances of good examples of this style.

Draft at Beer Temple, served in a tulip glass.
Bright gold, sharp clarity, white foam with a creamy texture.
Aromas of fresh oak, citrus pith, and lemon acidity. Very little if any Brett presence.
Taste is puckering and lemony with a nice grapefruit top note, fresh oak lingers in the aftertaste.
Feel is crisp and clean, on the lighter side of medium bodied, effervescent carb.
Overall it's enjoyable, though maybe a little too clean and tame.
Lacking the rustic funk of authentic Belgian Lambic.

Drank 6/5/21 @ the corner of Barry & Western in Chicago.
This had nice notes of green apple, pear & a tart lemon finish. Pleasant & tasty, but just a bit too sour on the finish for this timid soul. I'd love to try this again!

L: A generic blonde ale with some red color.
S: A strong brett that fights back.
T: A very strong farmy beer with a of brett as a finisher. Unlike other gueuze the brett is aggressive.
F: Pure and strong.
O: A crisp, refreshing strong, farmy ale.
