L: Had this beer on-tap at Loose Shoe, poured into a pint glass. Had a dark brown color with ruby tints and a thick consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Not much lacing.
S: A decent aroma of barnyard funk, citrus, dark fruit, and light spices.
T: Tasted of a small amount of malt (not so noticeable), a hint of spices (cloves), a good amount of barnyard funk, some dark fruit (fig, raisins), and light citrus (lemon). An interesting flavor for a saison with the addition of dark fruit. It doesn't quite come off - it's not quite pushed far enough - but it does hold your attention.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a sharp finish. Medium-bodied.
O: Though not entirely successful, this beer is a striking version of a saison. Worth a look.
