An old school Munich-style Oktoberfest: deep orange in color from the Munich malts, light spiciness from the German noble hops, and a clean drinkability from the German Lager yeast. Prost!

This beer pours a light, clear orange/amber color with a medium head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is a nice roasted malt flavor with sweetness and spice notes. I really like German Marzen beers, and this is a good one. 20 IBUs Rated 9-27-2024

Canned on 7/17/24; consumed on 10/10/24
Pours a foggy, golden hue capped with a finger and a half of soapy, eggshell-white foam; decent head retention leaves a half-finger of cap, slim, frothy collar, and a modest spread of webby lacing around the walls of the glass.
Aromas of honey meet a firm minerality, with flaked grain accents building steadily to white bread subtext as the bouquet evolves.
Taste offers honeyed sweetness into heartier bread, forming white toast with floral edges over the mid-palate and leaving a mineralic underscore lingering into a finish marked with slight bread crust residuals.
Mouthfeel features a light body and modest carbonation; crisp texturing and subtle slickness builds through the mid-palate, while distant roast accents the back end and into the swallow.
Clean sweetness compliments soft bready overtones in this unobtrusively basic yet pleasant Festbier.

Look: Light orange to dark yellow and opaque with a nice-looking silky head that settles and retains well as a pillow
Aroma: Freshly baked bread, raw bread dough, floral hops, slightly toasted bread crust, and light spicy hop notes
Taste: Spicy and floral hops come together to open this up with some nice earthy/peppery notes alongside honeysuckle and spirea. Bread quickly follows with raw dough and wafting odors of baking bread and these two components intermingle well throughout and on the close
Mouthfeel: Full but light, clean, medium-high carbonation, and crisp, clean, and slightly soft on the finish
Overall: This is a delicious beer. I’ve had these folks’ Oktoberfresh version of this beer every year they’ve made it but the O.G. has eluded me until now. This is a delectable and very well-made Festbier that has tremendous depth for how light it looks and drinks. Highly recommended

Very pretty beer. Clear amber color, tight head, some lacing. A very malt-forward brew, tasty! It has a slight sweetness but not unpleasantly so. Good mouth feel, persistent carbonation. A very nice Marzen, surely it would be a quite at home in a German festival's beer tent.

A beautiful goden glow with orange and yellow highlights. A bit clouded and capped with a decent white foam that leaves behind minimal spotty lacing.
Very bready aroma a with a dose of clean yeast and a very dusty and herbal hop finish.
Flavor follows with notes of lemon and a "sanitary" element I can't quite describe. Mostly a hefty white bread with the faintest suggestion of spices in the very floral finish.
This is extremely drinkable. Moderate carbonation and superb balance along with a light body and a dry finish. Drink by the gallon level here.
A great beer. Pilsner forward with hints of Oktoberfest rather than being the less desirable (in my opinion) overly caramel and spiced versions of the style. Prost.
