I had this beer on-tap in a Willi Becher glass at the brewery in Mountlake Terrace.
Appearance: rich copper hue with just a dash of haze and a thin layer of ivory foam atop.
Smell: rather sweet and caramelly. It's nice, but it smells a little sticky.
Taste: slightly sweet — not so sweet as the aroma — with a nice caramel character and a good dose of bitterness. There's not too much biscuitiness to the malt, which I appreciate. Really a pretty solid ESB!
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: I'm not always a huge fan of this type of beer, but this is a good execution of the style.
