I don’t like cucumber or mint. Just being honest. Looks decent enough in the glass. But the mint smell overwhelms all the other ingredients and the cucumber taste is just not cohesive to me. But I tried it

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated 03/04/2021 and served slightly chilled. A 'vegan radler', which I am only mentioning because it may be of interest to some consumers.

Pours a lightly fogged, pale straw yellow colour, capped with nearly an inch of soapy, foamy white head that melts off within two minutes or so. A frothy collar of suds is left surrounding a thin, filmy cap; not a lot of lace production, but it looks as I'd expect for a cucumber radler. Grainy, doughy malts on the nose, along with spearmint, citrusy lime and vegetal cucumber. More lime would always be welcome in my book, but I do appreciate that the underlying 'beeriness' is noticeable, in spite of its extremely low abv.

I like it - there's a little bit of sour lime juice and zestiness at the forefront, with flavours of cucumber and mint developing shortly thereafter. Hints of grainy malts can also be discerned, particularly through the finish and into the aftertaste, which is where the mint and lime start to fall off, leaving behind a suggestion of cucumber rind and citrus zest. Light in body, with moderately active carbonation that brushes against the tongue, frothing up a little in the mouth - feels crisp and satisfying to sip. Very refreshing, with great drinkability.

Final Grade: 3.80, a B+. Lost Craft's Cucumber Mint Radler is very flavourful for only 2.5%, with the lime, cucumber and mintiness blending and working together nicely. Perhaps most importantly, I never felt as if I wasn't drinking a beer, which is (unfortunately) the feeling I've been getting with some of the radlers and other 'beer cocktails' that I've been reviewing lately. This is a radler that I could actually see myself buying again over the course of the summer - though probably in limited quantities, because my tolerance for 'mint beer', even well-made mint beer, is pretty low. Put this in an ice glass and sip it in the back yard - maybe over ice, with a lime wedge and a little umbrella, if you're feeling fancy.
