Inky dark brew, cola colored and clear on the edges. No head.
Tons of coffee and chocolate on the nose; inviting and decadent.
Flavor follows, with plenty of banana up front, and a strong finish that is equal parts cocoa and coffee.
Smooth and rich; medium bodied and slick; not too sweet, and very drinkable. Long wet finish.

Wow, when they say. Bananas foster, that's just what they deliver. Thick and luscious this beer is. Loads of coffee with that burnt sugar banana flavor. Nailed this one. These guys are known for ipas but if they keep pumping stouts like this out. Watch out.

On tap at the brewery. Black body with a small khaki head. Smells of coffee, chocolate, and something like nutmeg spice. Has a little banana, but it’s more akin to the bananas foster spice profile. Tastes of predominantly coffee and chocolate. Lots of lactose. Most of the spices and banana is lost here. Really sweet, but I guess that’s to be expected. Light coffee bitterness in the finish. Heavy, chewy, and creamy. Really coats the palate. This is pretty darned tasty. Still not my style of beer, but I’m enjoying it a lot.

32oz crowler filled at the CSBC taproom on 9/2/16. Pours an oily black color with loosely packed mocha head that quickly dissipates without leaving any trace of lacing. Aroma is fresh coffee beans and faint bananas and burnt sugar. Taste is sweet lactose sugar up front followed by big coffee bitter notes and finishing with a burned banana flavor. Mouthfeel is a little disappointing in that it's watery thin which isn't unheard of in a milk stout, but I feel this beer would be better if it were a bit thicker. Overall an amazing dessert beer that delivers big on the flavors it promises.
