Such a unique one. I wasn’t sure about this one but the 4 pack grew on me in the end over a few days. Lots of maple and Civil really nailed the whole idea of this thing. A little sweet and sticky. I’ll be back for this one. Best in moderation

Pours a murky golden color. Maple syrup smell. A unique maple syrup waffle taste that is nailed. Good unique beer

Big thanks to StoutsAndAlesMakeBabies for this tasty brew. Had it for breakfast today on my bday. I opened the 16 oz can and immediately got a whiff of waffles and maple syrup kind of smelled like waffle crisps and Cinnamon Toast Crunch, the cereal. Taste follows the nose starts with bread and follows with maple sweetness and fades into a earthy happiness. The flavors taste so natural it’s nuts. Good amount of carbonation make this really easy to drink very little hop presence as far as bitterness. A great tasting brew however very unorthodox for the style.

Wow. Thanks to SammyJaxxx for this most unique beer.
This beer does such a phenomenal job of walking such a fine line. It begins with a spot on homage to waffles.
The nose begins with cinnamon, maple, and even a toasty note. An ever so slight hop bitterness sneaks in at the end.
The flavor begins very much like the nose. It's round and toasty cinnamon, followed by maple syrup, and hints of toasty grain. The sweetness is there, definitely maple, but finally a hop bitterness comes through at the end. It's never too sweet. But so distinctly waffle. I'm amazed at this accomplishment.
Mouthfeel is medium in body and medium to lite in carbonation.
Overall, I would not drink this daily. But would absolutely love to have it on a regular basis. A waffle IPA, who could've thunk it?

16 oz. can. Deep orange. Smells of maple syrup all over. Some grapefruit. Tastes of sweet maple also. Grapefruit hops behind it. Mild bitterness, but enough so that the lingering maple sweetness isn't overpowering. Medium body. I'm surprised I like this as much as I do. It's quite sweet.
