Pours a clear, deep copper body capped with a finger and a half of sudsy, off-white foam; decent head retention leaves a slim layer of cap, slight, frothy collar, and haphazard spattering of spotty lacing around the walls of the glass.
Aromas of honey waft through a bready subtext, with notes of black bread crust building into tinges of caramel malts as the bouquet develops.
Taste offers bready yeast sporting distantly fruit esters and caramel malts as hints of burnt toast progress over the mid-palate and the honey underscore laden across the profile peaks into the back end.
Mouthfeel shows a medium body and a modest fluff of carbonation, producing a clean, taut texture developing steadily over the mid-palate while a toasty, pseudo-bittering lingers subtly through the back end.
Honey wafts and welcome breadiness supports atop a certain lack of cleanliness; a touch tentative in expression, but altogether solid.
