Clear light straw appearance, scant head and retention, no lacing. Mild tea, lemon, honey, bread, celery. Light body, light carbonation. Very refreshing but a little too forgettable.

L- Slightly Hazy deep straw. Not as clear as you would expect for a basic lager
S- Slight citrus and bread aromas
T- Forward citrus hop flavors and a bitter finish. Too hoppy and too bitter for an American lager.
F- Finish is pretty crisp. body is a bit too heavy for the style.
O- It is OK. Not a great representation of the style. Hank Hill would not like this beer. I would not buy it again especially at craft brew prices.

On tap at PB Dye Golf Club in Ijamsville, MD.
This one pours a clear dull yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like lemony and slightly grassy bitterness, with a touch of crackery malt.
This is a little bit boring and too lightly flavored, but the crisp bite and refreshing character is at least nice here. It’s quite drinkable, with no discernible flaws, just nothing to really wow the palate.
This would be great in the heat, but it’s not exactly something to fervently dissect.

Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a bright yellow color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of grains, citrus. Taste is malts, citrusy, clean and extremely refreshing. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a beer I must get again during the summertime.

A tall boy of unfamiliar lager is almost always a sure buy for me, especially in the middle of a summer heat wave. Attractive color and brief head but the nose is faint and wispy, with only a bit of grainy biscuit note.
Flavor is bright and mild, with a long lasting emphasis on the bread note. Hopping is muted but this still works pretty well with in the style. A touch of creamy smoothness makes the texture a solid plus. This is a great effort in a challenging style to stand out in produced by an unheralded local brewery. Promising stuff.

Hank is their light and inexpensive house beer. Great beer to just kick back and hangout with. Flavorful yet simple. It’s nice to have a local beer that is very tasty yet reasonably priced. Something the community can rally behind.
